*7th Annual Dubuque Renaissance Faire – May 17-18, 2014

Faire hours are 10am-5pm daily & group sleeping quarters will be provided vs. camping out

*23rd Annual Iowa Renaissance Festival – May 24-26, 2014 (Memorial Day Weekend)

Middle Amana Park, U Ave. & H St., Amana Colonies, IA

Festival hours are 11am-6pm daily & we will be doing the balloon pop there this year

*3rd Annual Iowa/Minnesota Pirate Festival – August 9-10, 2014

Festival hours are 11am-6pm daily & there is an adult pirate party on Fri., Aug. 8th from 7-10pm

*12th Annual Des Moines Renaissance Faire – Aug. 30-Sept. 1, (Labor Day Weekend) / Sept. 6-7 / Sept. 13-14, 2014

Festival Park (inside Sleepy Hollow Sports Park), 4051 Dean Ave, Des Moines, IA

Faire hours are 10am-6pm daily & we are planning an arrow catch performance this year

[We will not be attending the Nebraska Renaissance Faire in Bellevue, NE this year due to a rise in attendance costs.]

 

 

Current Projects:

-          Assuring that we are registered for all events in a timely manner.

-          Making red & gold covers for the original shop tent and the two new tents purchased last year

-          Getting flags made with our crest on them for the encampment (Bones is working on this)

-          Segmenting our Tues./Sat. sword practices into the following: warm up/fives, learning new/tightening up current skills, light weapons, & heavy weapons (to get ready for faires) as well as continuing with archery practice and arts & crafts classes alternating Thursdays

-          Setting up a tournament at the ice arena at Southridge Mall (Terry is working on this)

-          Holding John’s paging ceremony at the next feast/renaissance faire

-          Paying the annual group insurance
