Training & Discussions

Once per month or more (as scheduled) members of Warwick civil war division gather together to learn from one another in the area of Historical Civil War, they work on projects such as tent making, paper making, medical, & so much more that would take way too much time to list. If it is Civil War in subject, we try to do it. We as a group we learn from each other because some people are more knowledgeable about one thing where as some one else is not and if you are not very knowledgeable about history then this is the place to come join in and learn some things about the past and have fun in teaching others what our forefathers once know but has over time been forgotten by the majority of the World.

if you have any questions contact:
Maj. Benjamin W Shacklett 1st Officer of the Civil War Division marcanorighney@yahoo.com

Coming up next

♦  January 6th 2007 - Greetings unto the members of the Civil War Division, Sgt. Maj. Marvin Ullrich and I were discussing have a training class so those of us who is getting a Wall Tent can make the frame work for it. So we scheduled the class on Saturday, Jan. 6 starting at 6pm. It will be conducted at Sgt. Maj. Ullrich's house.
You will need to bring with you the following materials
:
1/1"X6"x4' board
1/1"X4"X4' board
2/2"X4"X7' boards
2/2"X2"X7' Boards
For joint pins:
1/ 1/2"X6" wood dowel
1/ 1/4"X3" wood dowel
(you will probably only be able to get the dowel rods in a longer length, but you could make multiple pins in case you have one break)
This will make the framework including the wood connecting joint like Sgt. Ullrich has on his tent.
